Welcome to our detailed guide on exporting your 3D model to a format supported by Peach World.
In this tutorial, we'll guide you through the process of exporting .glb files using Blender. While our focus is on Blender, the export settings we cover can be applied to other 3D modeling software and different supported formats.
Let's delve into the procedure and ensure your 3D creations are smoothly transferred to Peach World.
Start by selecting the object(s) you want to export. If you choose multiple objects, they will be imported as a multi-part model.
Navigate to File > Export Selection in the menu bar, followed by Export > glTF 2.0 (.glb/.gltf).
Select the format as glTF Binary (.glb).
In the Include tab, check the "Selected Objects" option if you only want to export the chosen objects. If you wish to export all objects from the scene as a single glb file, leave this option unchecked.
In the Mesh tab (formerly Geometry), make sure to enable the "Apply Modifiers" option. This is particularly important if you've used modifiers such as Boolean, Bend, and others in your modeling process.
To exclude 3D model animations, uncheck the Animation box in the Animation tab. If you plan to export the model with its assigned animations, leave this box checked.
After naming your file and setting its path, click on "Export .glb.”
The generated .glb file is now ready for import into the Peach World editor. Ensure the scene's polygon count doesn't exceed 150,000 polygons, and the file size is under 25 MB.
TIP: To center the object axis on the object you're exporting, move the object to the location 0,0,0.
IMPORTANT: Convert all triangles to quads to ensure compatibility with mobile devices.
Animation TIP: The .glb format is designed for speed, so the keyframes it uses are limited to basic parameters such as position, rotation, and scale.
