Welcome to our comprehensive guide on exporting your 3D model to one of Peach World's supported formats.
In this tutorial, we'll walk you through the steps of exporting .glb files using Blender. While we focus on Blender, rest assured that the export settings we discuss can be adapted for other 3D modeling software and various supported formats.
Let's dive into the process and ensure your 3D creations are seamlessly transferred to Peach World.
Begin by choosing the object(s) you wish to export. If you opt for multiple objects, they will be brought in as a multi-part model.
Navigate to File > Export Selection in the menu bar, followed by Export > glTF 2.0 (.glb/.gltf).
Select the format as glTF Binary (.glb).
In the Include tab, ensure that the "Selected Objects" option is checked if you wish to export only the chosen objects. If you prefer exporting all objects from the scene as a single glb file, make sure this option is left unchecked.
In the Mesh tab (old Geometry), ensure to enable the "Apply Modifiers" option, especially if you've employed modifiers like Boolean, Bend, and others in your modeling workflow.
Opt out of including 3D model animations by unchecking the Animation box in the Animation tab. Keep it checked if you intend to export the model along with its assigned animations.
After defining a name and pathway for your file, proceed by clicking on "Export .glb.”
The generated .glb file is now prepared and should work for import into the Peach World editor. Keep in mind the scene's polygon count should not surpass 150,000 polygons, and the file size should stay below 25 MB.
TIP: If you would like your object axis to be centered on the object that you are exporting, please move the object to the location 0,0,0.
