A point light, used in computer graphics, 3D rendering, and computer-aided design, is a light source that radiates from a single point in all directions. In contrast to a spotlight, which directs light specifically, a point light emits light uniformly in a spherical pattern from its position. Consequently, the light's intensity diminishes with increasing distance from the source.

How does the Point Light Work?

A point light uniformly emits light in all directions from a single point in space. It's a key component in computer graphics and 3D rendering, aiding in the realistic simulation of lighting conditions in virtual environments.

How do you add a Point light to the 3D scene?

  1. Click on the 'Add Elements' button located in the top left corner.
  2. A pop-up will appear. Hover over the 'Basic' section to trigger another pop-up.
  3. In the new pop-up, you will see a section titled 'Lights'.
  4. Click on the 'Point Light' element to add it to the 3D scene.
