In software development, "preview mode" typically refers to a feature that lets users see changes or updates before they're officially applied or published. With the Peachworlds builder, you can access the preview mode at any time to see how your website will appear once published. In preview mode, all side panels disappear, and you can't make changes. You also have the option to switch between three resolutions: desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Access the preview mode by clicking the "Play" button, located on the upper right corner of the screen, to the left of the "Publish" button. This applies whether you're in the 3D, animation, or UI editors.
Once you enter preview mode, the "Play" button will turn blue. Click on it again to exit preview mode.
In preview mode, you can preview your website in three different views by adjusting the screen width. This helps you visualize how the website will appear on different devices. To do this, click on the button located to the left of the blue "Play" button as shown in the image, and choose your desired resolution from the dropdown menu. We plan to add the option of manually setting breakpoints in the future.
Absolutely! You can switch between various resolutions even within the UI editor. Use the same dropdown menu as in preview mode. The added advantage is that you can modify the website in your preferred resolution!
Please remember that changes made in the desktop view impact the smaller views. However, changes made in the two smaller views do not affect the desktop view. Similarly, changes in the tablet view do not impact the mobile view. The only exception to this rule involves adding elements. Any element added on mobile will also appear on the tablet and desktop. Nevertheless, users can hide the element on mobile while keeping it visible on the desktop and tablet using the visibility feature in the styles section of the inspector panel.
